Plucky kids like you tend to bounce back from these things very well. Even with some unplanned things thrown into the mix.
Honestly, I don't know what I'd do if my memories were scrambled and messed with like that. That seems so very... unpleasent and invasive.
Blood Mages do seem to be quite particular though, I don't quite think they have memory magic?
